The Purpose of Worship

At Grace Point, we strive to worship in a way that brings glory and honor to God's name. We worship because God has poured out His grace upon us. In Ephesians, Paul wrote, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places" (Eph. 1:3). We want to worship God because He has lavished upon us these great spiritual blessings through Christ. It is a great honor to come together on Sunday morning and rejoice in God's glorious grace. Therefore, our worship is God-centered and Christ-exalting. We worship through music, prayer, and by reading and teaching the Word of God.

Making a Joyful Noise

Scripture does not declare that any specific form of worship is preferred by God. The Psalmist describes musical worship as making a "joyful noise before the Lord" (Ps. 100:1-5). God is pleased with worship that is sincere and comes from the heart. Proper worship exalts God's name, and brings praise to His glorious grace. It is important to prepare our hearts to worship God and to make sure we are coming to church for the right reasons, so we often take time to reflect on the reason we have gathered for worship. It is our desire that God will find our worship sincere and pleasing to Him.

Worship With Us!

We warmly welcome you to come join with us as we strive to "make a joyful noise" before the Lord, and bring praise and honor to His name! Our worship service begins at 10:15am on Sundays.

Grace Praise Team

Our praise team leads us through musical worship usually at the beginning of the service on Sunday morning. Our worship includes a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary Christian music.

"Be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ."

- Ephesians 5:18-20 ESV

"Trusting God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit, our Triune God to guide us by His mercy and grace in declaring His true, infallible word to the local community and beyond."
