Preschool - First Day for 4's and 5's

For the 2016-17 school year we will be offering classes Mon/Wed/Fri for 4-5 year olds, and Tues/Thurs for 3-4 year olds. Both classes run from 8:45am-11:15am. We closely follow the Wa-Nee School calendar. Tuition is $75 per month for 4-5's class. Tuition is $65 per month for the 3-4's class. There is also a non-refundable registration fee of $30. You may print out a Registration Form and submit via mail to GPPS, PO Box 104, Nappanee, IN 46550.

We believe a preschool should provide an enjoyable and safe program of enrichment for the total child. All children have needs, and we intend through our nursery school to meet as many needs as we can.

The Spiritual – to provide an awareness of God and the love of His Son, Jesus Christ. The Social – to give the child a chance to live, work, and play with others his/her age outside of the home environment.

The Physical – to explore the abilities of the entire body and develop good coordination of both small and large muscle.

The Mental – to sharpen the child’s mind with an enhancement of himself/herself and the world around him/her with a readiness program to strengthen the child’s skills for the next level. Grace Point Preschool admits students of any race, color, and national or ethnic origin. Limited scholarships are also available. (Registration and Scholarship Forms are available online.)

Linda Brandt, head teacher, along with assistant Darcy McPheeters, is planning play-driven, hands on curriculum, with emphasis on color, numbers, alphabet, name recognition, plus non-denominational Christian Bible Lessons.

Scholarship funding is available to qualified applicants attending GPPS. The memorial scholarship fund exists because some Grace Point families believe that every child should have an opportunity to obtain a head start in the development of spiritual, intellectual, social, creative, and physical growth. GPPS scholarships are limited but open to any child attending the pre-school. A committee evaluates the applicants based on need.

The purpose of the Margaret English Conrad and Nicholas J. Arone Scholarship Endowment Fund is to provide educational scholarships for children enrolled in the Grace Point Preschool.

"Our family wanted to create a living memorial dedicated to our Mother’s/Grandmother’s lifetime commitment to education. This endowment scholarship fund is our way of preserving her memory through the eyes and minds of children. We are committed to providing a means for the children of our community to have an opportunity to obtain a head start in the development of the basic skills needed to excel in today’s society."

Scholarship Fund Information

This fund was established in 2004 as a memorial to the memory of Margaret English Conrad (mother of Richard Conrad) who spent much of her adult life teaching in the Nappanee School system, serving on the Preschool Board, as well as many educational endeavors at the Nappanee Public Library, many forms of Christian education at the church, and in educating her own children and grandchildren.

Nicholas J. Arone (son of Nanette and Larry Fredericks) attended the Preschool. He died at the age of 16 at Riley Hospital in Indianapolis after a long illness. Nicholas was a good student, an avid reader, sang in the high school choir, and enjoyed acting in plays and musicals. His family has also established a perpetual book fund for the Northwood High School Library in memory of Nicholas.

Scholarship Statement of Terms

The term of this scholarship shall be for one (1) calendar school year. The amount of the scholarship will depend upon the number of qualified applicants with the maximum amount of each scholarship being full tuition for a full school years. The scholarship will be paid directly to the preschool and will terminate immediately should the student withdraw from the Grace Point Preschool.

The Margaret English Conrad and Nicholas J. Arone Scholarship Endowment Fund welcomes and encourages additional contributions in memory of Margaret Conrad and Nicholas Arone and for the Grace Point Preschool students who will benefit from tuition scholarships.

"Trusting God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit, our Triune God to guide us by His mercy and grace in declaring His true, infallible word to the local community and beyond."
