Our Church Today

Grace Point Church is a fellowship of believers from different walks of life, united in the purpose of glorifying God through faithful Christian living. We embrace the evangelical message of God's Word, emphasizing the glorious grace that flows to believers from the cross of Christ. We hold to a high view of Scripture, so the preaching of the Word is a central aspect of our church. We believe that God's revelation to man is contained in the Bible alone, and that it teaches us that salvation is by grace through faith in Christ (Eph. 2:8-9). We are humbled to be servants of the gospel, and take seriously the call to reach out and serve others in the name of Christ.

Our History

Our church traces its roots back to 1899 in Nappanee, Indiana. Much has changed in our culture and society since then, and the life of the church must adapt to the changing seasons. We take care not to become captive to the traditions of men, or of the prevailing winds of the current times, but instead we desire to remain faithful to the "living and abiding Word of God" (1 Pet. 1:23).

About The EPC

Our church is a member congregation of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC) which we formally joined in 2009. The EPC is a denomination of churches that is Evangelical in spirit, Reformed in theology, and Presbyterian in government. Theologically, the EPC holds to the belief in the absolute sovereignty of God and that the highest good is God's glory. This historical and theological heritage is often expressed in the "solas" of the Reformation - God's grace alone as the only way to be reconciled to God, faith alone as the only means of receiving God's grace, Christ alone as the ground of God's saving grace, Scripture alone as the only infallible authority for belief and God's glory alone as the ultimate purpose for the lives of men and women. Visit the EPC website for a more detailed discussion of the EPC beliefs and practices.
